Casa Fornasetti has been the historic residence of the Fornasetti family since the late 19th century. Located in Milanās CittĆ Studi district, it stands today as a unique testament to the unmistakable creativity that gave rise to the renowned Italian brand. The building was originally constructed by Piero Fornasettiās parents to house his artistic endeavours. A painter, printer, interior decorator, curator, collector, and designer, Fornasetti also established his artistic lithographic printing studio here, which later evolved into the decorative arts workshop that still bears his name today.
Ā
While the house retains traces of its past, it is no longer a production site but rather a private residence and the creative and conceptual heart of Fornasetti. Thanks to the visionary intervention of Barnaba Fornasetti, Pieroās son and Artistic Director of the Milanese Atelier, the houseāan elegantly rich and enigmatic spaceāhas become the ultimate manifesto of Fornasettiās aesthetics, imaginative power, and distinctive genius.
