Giampiero Tagliaferri opens his new studio in Brera, Milan, offering a rare glimpse into an apartment designed by the BBPR group. To mark the occasion, curator Truls Blaasmo and gallerist Chiara Rusconi present Materials at the Edge, a site-specific exhibition exploring the relationship between art and design. Bringing together Italian post-war masters and contemporary artists, the exhibition focuses on the point at which materials are pushed to their limits, through gesture, pressure and transformation. Set within Tagliaferriās studio, the works enter into dialogue with the architecture, creating a layered conversation between modernist heritage and contemporary practice.
